About Quran Habit
Quran Habit is a habit-forming Quran reading app. It pairs page-accurate mushaf reading with the mechanics that keep a daily practice alive: streaks that survive a bad day, khatm plans, and weekly reading leagues.
What it is
The app renders all 604 pages of the Madani mushaf as page images, with IndoPak (610 pages) and Naskh (612 pages) editions alongside. It carries word-by-word translation in 14 languages, Quran translations in 43 languages, 40 reciters, and an interface in 13 languages with full right-to-left support for Arabic, Persian and Urdu. The Quran Habit app page shows what those look like on a phone.
Quran Habit is on Google Play and the App Store. This website already serves the complete Quran, free, in 14 languages.
Who builds it
Quran Habit is built by an independent founder. It is not affiliated with any government, publisher or religious authority, and nothing on this site is a religious ruling. Where scholarly classifications appear (for example whether a surah is Meccan or Medinan), the site says which index the classification follows rather than asserting it as settled.
Where the data comes from
- The Arabic text of the Quran is the standard Uthmani text, served as real Unicode so it can be read, copied and indexed.
- Translations remain the work of their translators and publishers. Each surah and ayah page names the edition it serves, on its own credit line, and every edition this site publishes is named on our licences page.
- No translation published on this website reaches us through the Tanzil Project (tanzil.net). The Quran Habit app does still carry Tanzil editions, and Tanzil's notice asks anyone using more than three of its translations to link back to it and says its translations are for non-commercial purposes only. Tanzil is an archive, not the rights holder: each translation stays under the terms its own translator or publisher sets.
- Arabic scripture on this site is set in KFGQPC Uthmanic Hafs by the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex, under the licence embedded in the font file. QH Naskh, our renamed subset of Scheherazade New by SIL Global under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, is the loaded fallback behind it.
- Structural facts on surah pages (juz, page numbers per printed edition, word counts) are computed from the app's verified data and re-checked by an independent verification script on every build.
