Days differ by at most one page and the total is exactly 604: in a 29-day month that is 24 days of 21 pages and 5 of 20, so nothing piles up on the last night. 25 of the 30 juz are exactly 20 pages, which is why one juz a day lines up so neatly.

Reading this in the app
Quran Habit turns this arithmetic into a Khatm Journey: a stage-by-stage map of your reading, a daily target that holds until you re-pace it yourself, and streaks designed to survive a bad day. Quran Habit is on Google Play and the App Store. You can also read the Quran free on this site.
What the app adds to this arithmetic
Quran Habit runs the same arithmetic as a journey you can open: a khatm at any time of year, and a ready plan for the seasons a khatm is most often read in.
- A plan you can see. The same 604 pages, drawn as a stage map rather than a table, with your position always visible.
- A target that holds. Miss a day and your daily number stays the one you set, and Change pace re-slices the pages you have left whenever you want a new one.
- Progress counted, not claimed. Reading is tracked on page-accurate images of the Madani mushaf, so a finished page is a finished page.

Common questions
How many pages a day to finish in Ramadan?
In a 30-day month, 20.1 pages a day (604 divided by 30). In a 29-day month it is 20.8, so plan 21 pages a day and you finish inside the month either way.
How long is one juz?
A juz spans 20 to 23 pages of the Madinah mushaf: 25 of the 30 are exactly 20 pages, four are 21, and the longest, juz 30, is 23.
Does the page count depend on the mushaf?
Yes. This calculator uses the 604-page Madani mushaf. IndoPak editions run 610 pages and Naskh 612, so daily targets shift by about one percent. The text is identical in all three.
