Surah Al-A'raf 7:77 الأعراف

فَعَقَرُواْ ٱلنَّاقَةَ وَعَتَوۡاْ عَنۡ أَمۡرِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَقَالُواْ يَٰصَٰلِحُ ٱئۡتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ

So they hamstrung the she-camel and were insolent toward the command of their Lord and said, "O Ṣāliḥ, bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the messengers."

Al-Mukhtasar

So they killed the camel, which they had been forbidden to harm, too proud to follow Allah's command. Doubting what Saleh had promised would happen, they mocked him, saying: O Saleh! Bring the painful punishment you have told us would afflict us if you really are a messenger from Allah!
