Surah Al-Fajr 89:15 الفجر

فَأَمَّا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ إِذَا مَا ٱبۡتَلَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَأَكۡرَمَهُۥ وَنَعَّمَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّيٓ أَكۡرَمَنِ
And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me."1918

Al-Mukhtasar
As nations that Allah destroyed were blessed with power and protection, Allah clarifies that those blessings are not evidence of Allah being pleased with them, stating:
So, as for a human being, it is from his nature that when his Lord tests him such that He honors and blesses him with wealth, children, and prestige, he thinks that it is because he is held in esteem with Allah. Thus, He says: My Lord has honored me because I am worthy of being honored by Him.
