وَيَوۡمَ يَعَضُّ ٱلظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيۡهِ يَقُولُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي ٱتَّخَذۡتُ مَعَ ٱلرَّسُولِ سَبِيلٗا
And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way.1018

Al-Mukhtasar
Mention, O Messenger, the Day the transgressor will bite down on his hand in regret due to not following the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم, and say: If only I had followed the Messenger in what he brought from his Lord, and taken a path with him to salvation.
