Surah Al-Furqan 25:40 الفرقان

وَلَقَدۡ أَتَوۡاْ عَلَى ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ ٱلَّتِيٓ أُمۡطِرَتۡ مَطَرَ ٱلسَّوۡءِۚ أَفَلَمۡ يَكُونُواْ يَرَوۡنَهَاۚ بَلۡ كَانُواْ لَا يَرۡجُونَ نُشُورٗا

And they have already come upon the town which was showered with a rain of evil [i.e., stones]. So have they not seen it? But they are not expecting resurrection.¹⁰²⁶

Al-Mukhtasar

On their journey to the Levant, those who rejected the truth from your people passed by the town of the people of Lot. The town which had rocks rained down upon them as a punishment for their immoral behavior so that they may take heed. Were they blinded to this town and did not see it? No! Rather, they did not believe they would be resurrected and taken to account thereafter.
