Surah Al-Hashr 59:9 الحشر

وَٱلَّذِينَ تَبَوَّءُو ٱلدَّارَ وَٱلۡإِيمَٰنَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ يُحِبُّونَ مَنۡ هَاجَرَ إِلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا يَجِدُونَ فِي صُدُورِهِمۡ حَاجَةٗ مِّمَّآ أُوتُواْ وَيُؤۡثِرُونَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمۡ وَلَوۡ كَانَ بِهِمۡ خَصَاصَةٞۚ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفۡسِهِۦ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ
And [also for] those who were settled in the Home [i.e.,al-Madīnah] and [adopted] the faith before them.1656 They love those who emigrated to them and find not any want in their breasts of what they [i.e., the emigrants] were given but give [them] preference over themselves, even though they are in privation. And whoever is protected from the stinginess of his soul - it is those who will be the successful.

Al-Mukhtasar
After praising the Al-Muhajireen (the Emigrants), Allah praises the Al-Ansar (the Supporters) as well, stating:
And Al-Ansar (the Supporters), who resided in Medina before Al-Muhajireen and chose faith in Allah and His Messenger, love those who emigrated to them from Mecca. They do not find anger nor malice in their hearts against Al-Muhajireen in the path of Allah when they are given anything from the ransom, and they [Al-Ansar] are not given. They put Al-Muhajireen before themselves in terms of the allocations of the worldly life, even if they [Al-Ansar] are considered poor and in need. And whomsoever Allah protects their soul's yearning for wealth such that they spend it in the path of Allah, are the victors by attaining what they hope for and salvation from what they flee from.
