An Ayah alternative for daily Quran reading
Published by the makers of Quran Habit. Ayah is a genuinely good app for the right person, and this page says who that is before it says anything else.
What Quran Habit is
A Quran app and website built around the part people actually struggle with, which is coming back tomorrow. Free to use, with an optional paid tier in the app, nothing at all sold on this website, and no advertising anywhere.
- The mushaf you know. All 604 Madani pages as page-accurate images, plus IndoPak at 610 and Naskh at 612.

Why people look for an alternative
- The paid tier is iPhone and iPad only. Their help centre, in their own words: "Ayah membership is available only on Apple devices, and it is managed by the App Store." Everything membership unlocks, the printed-Quran theme, playback speed, pinned recitations, page history, fonts and Family Sharing, therefore has no Android equivalent in their materials.

Where the two differ
- Ayah is minimal on purpose. Their Play listing describes the whole progress system as "only one bookmark that moves from a verse to another". No streaks, no goals, no leaderboards. If that is what you wanted, you are in the right place already.
- Their App Store listing gives two app languages, English and Arabic, and publishes no translation list.
Where Ayah beats us
On restraint. Ayah has one bookmark and no streaks, no goals and no leagues, on purpose, and for a reader who finds all of that a distraction from the page that is the better design. Everything Quran Habit adds is something Ayah has decided not to add.

How we compared
Every Ayah fact here was read from Ayah's own published materials on 7 September 2026, and every document is listed below with the date we opened it, so you can check any line on this page yourself. The reasons people switch, where this page lists any, come only from those materials. Where their materials do not state something, this page says so rather than guessing, and silence in their materials is reported as silence, not as a missing feature.
When a source stops resolving, the claim that rested on it comes off the page rather than living on because it was true once. That has already cost this page a few lines, which is the point of doing it.
No store ratings, no download counts, and no religious judgement about any app. We make one of these two, which is exactly why this page tells you plainly where Ayah is ahead of us and when you should stay where you are.
