Published by the makers of Quran Habit. Tarteel AI is a genuinely good app for the right person, and this page says who that is before it says anything else.
A note on the name: tarteel (ترتيل) is an ordinary Arabic word for measured, unhurried recitation, and it is used as a brand name in other industries too. This page is only about the Quran app made by Tarteel Inc.

Why people look for an alternative
- Its core is AI memorisation feedback, and their listing says the app "requires microphone access and a stable internet connection in order for its voice features to function properly". If your goal is daily reading rather than hifz drills, you are paying attention, and possibly a subscription, for a different job.
- The AI is the paid part. Their App Store listing puts "Live Memorization Mistake Detection", hidden-verses mode, goal planning and analytics behind Tarteel Premium, with the prices on that listing.

On checking a memorisation from your own voice, completely. Tarteel listens while you recite from memory and flags word-level errors, skipped words and incorrect tashkeel as they happen. Quran Habit has no speech recognition of any kind, so if hifz revision is the job you are hiring an app for, nothing on our side substitutes for that.

The reasons people switch, where this page lists any, come only from those materials. Where their materials do not state something, this page says so rather than guessing, and silence in their materials is reported as silence, not as a missing feature.
