Surah An-Nahl 16:56 النحل

وَيَجۡعَلُونَ لِمَا لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ نَصِيبٗا مِّمَّا رَزَقۡنَٰهُمۡۗ تَٱللَّهِ لَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنتُمۡ تَفۡتَرُونَ
And they assign to what they do not know703 [i.e., false deities] a portion of that which We have provided them. By Allāh, you will surely be questioned about what you used to invent.

- 703 i.e., that of which they have no knowledge; rather, they have mere assumption based upon tradition or the claims of misguided men.

Al-Mukhtasar
The polytheists allocate to their idols, which do not know anything as they are lifeless objects that can neither benefit nor harm, a portion of their wealth that We have provided for them as a means of seeking closeness to those idols. By Allah, O polytheists, you will be questioned on the Day of Resurrection about your false claims that these idols are deities and that they are entitled to a portion of your wealth.
