إِن تُبۡدُواْ خَيۡرًا أَوۡ تُخۡفُوهُ أَوۡ تَعۡفُواْ عَن سُوٓءٖ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَفُوّٗا قَدِيرًا
If [instead] you show [some] good or conceal it or pardon an offense - indeed, Allāh is ever Pardoning and Competent.229

Whether you make your good deeds known, keep them secret, or overlook someone who acted negatively towards you, Allah is eternally Pardoning and Powerful. Therefore, have a pardoning character so that Allah may pardon you.
