لَٰكِنِ ٱلرَّسُولُ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَعَهُۥ جَٰهَدُواْ بِأَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ وَأَنفُسِهِمۡۚ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتُۖ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ
But the Messenger and those who believed with him fought with their wealth and their lives. Those will have [all that is] good and it is those who are the successful.

Al-Mukhtasar
As for the Messenger and the believers with him, they did not lag in Jihad (striving) for the sake of Allah like these, but instead, they strove for the sake of Allah with their money and their lives. Their reward from Allah was getting worldly benefits, such as victory and spoils. They will be getting the benefits of the Hereafter, including entering Paradise, winning what is desired, and deliverance from what is feared.
