وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَةَۢ بَاقِيَةٗ فِي عَقِبِهِۦ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡجِعُونَ
And he made it1436 a word remaining among his descendants that they might return [to it].

Al-Mukhtasar
Abraham made this monotheistic statement of his (there is none worthy of worship besides Allah) remain in his progeny after him so that some of them would continue worshiping Allah alone and not attribute any partners with Him, hoping that they turn to Allah having repented from ascribing partners with Him and having repented from sins.
