مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ٱلۡعِزَّةَ فَلِلَّهِ ٱلۡعِزَّةُ جَمِيعًاۚ إِلَيۡهِ يَصۡعَدُ ٱلۡكَلِمُ ٱلطَّيِّبُ وَٱلۡعَمَلُ ٱلصَّٰلِحُ يَرۡفَعُهُۥۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَمۡكُرُونَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ شَدِيدٞۖ وَمَكۡرُ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُوَ يَبُورُ

Whoever desires honor [through power] - then to Allāh belongs all honor.¹²⁴⁵ To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it.¹²⁴⁶ But they who plot evil deeds will have a severe punishment, and the plotting of those - it will perish.

Al-Mukhtasar

Whoever wants honor in this world or the Hereafter should only seek it from Allah because Allah alone gives honor in both. His pure remembrance is elevated to Him, and the good deeds of His slaves are raised to Him. And those who plot evil plans, such as trying to kill the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم, will have a severe punishment. The scheming of these disbelievers will perish, and no objective of theirs will be accomplished.
