ٱلَّذِينَ يَسۡتَحِبُّونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا عَلَى ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَبۡغُونَهَا عِوَجًاۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ فِي ضَلَٰلِۭ بَعِيدٖ
The ones who prefer the worldly life over the Hereafter and avert [people] from the way of Allāh, seeking to make it [seem] deviant. Those are in extreme error.

Al-Mukhtasar
Those who disbelieve in Allah prefer the life of the world and its temporary pleasures over the Afterlife with its eternal bliss. They turn people away from Allah's path and seek to distort it. Making it diverge from the truth and moving away from uprightness is so no one will tread it. Those described with such attributes are in error, far from the truth and righteousness.
