قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ ۝١

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,

مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ ۝٢

The Sovereign of mankind,

إِلَٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ ۝٣

The God of mankind,

مِن شَرِّ ٱلۡوَسۡوَاسِ ٱلۡخَنَّاسِ ۝٤

From the evil of the retreating whisperer²⁰¹⁶ -

ٱلَّذِي يُوَسۡوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ ۝٥

Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -

مِنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ ۝٦

From among the jinn and mankind."²⁰¹⁷
