And they wonder that there has come to them a warner [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)] from among themselves. And the disbelievers say, "This is a magician and a liar.

Al-Mukhtasar
And they are astonished when a messenger comes to them from among themselves to warn them of Allah's torment if they continue in disbelief. When the disbelievers saw the proofs of the truthfulness of what Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم brought, they said: This is a magician who performs magic on people and a liar in claiming that he is a messenger from Allah who receives revelation.
