وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ قُرۡءَانًا عَرَبِيّٗا وَصَرَّفۡنَا فِيهِ مِنَ ٱلۡوَعِيدِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَّقُونَ أَوۡ يُحۡدِثُ لَهُمۡ ذِكۡرٗا
And thus We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’ān860 and have diversified therein the warnings that perhaps they will avoid [sin] or it would cause them remembrance.

Such as the Quran, which We have revealed in clear Arabic just as We revealed the stories of the previous prophets. We have explained with various [degrees of] threats and fear-inducing warnings, in the hope they will fear Allah or that the admonition of the Quran will cause them to reflect.
