When We sent to them two but they denied them, so We strengthened [them] with a third, and they said, "Indeed, we are messengers to you."

Al-Mukhtasar
When We first sent them two messengers to call them to Allah's Oneness and His worship, they rejected them. Then we sent as reinforcement for these two a third Messenger with them. The three messengers said to the townspeople: All three of us have been sent to call you to Allah's Oneness and follow His law.
