قُلۡ أَغَيۡرَ ٱللَّهِ أَتَّخِذُ وَلِيّٗا فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَهُوَ يُطۡعِمُ وَلَا يُطۡعَمُۗ قُلۡ إِنِّيٓ أُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنۡ أَسۡلَمَۖ وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
Say, "Is it other than Allāh I should take as a protector, Creator of the heavens and earth, while it is He who feeds and is not fed?" Say, [O Muḥammad], "Indeed, I have been commanded to be the first [among you] who submit [to Allāh] and [was commanded], 'Do not ever be of the polytheists.'"

Al-Mukhtasar
Say, O Messenger, to the polytheists who worship idols and other things alongside Allah: Does it make sense that I take anyone other than Allah as a helper and guardian from whom I seek help while it is He who created the heavens and the earth without precedent? There was no creator before Him. He is the One who gives provision to whichever of His slaves He wishes, and none of His slaves provide for Him. He does not need His slaves, but His slaves need Him. Say, O Messenger: My Lord (may He be Exalted) has instructed me to be the first one from this nation to submit and be humble. He has prohibited me from being from those who associate others as partners with Him.
