Surah Al-Anbiya 21:44 الأنبياء

بَلۡ مَتَّعۡنَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَءَابَآءَهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ طَالَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡعُمُرُۗ أَفَلَا يَرَوۡنَ أَنَّا نَأۡتِي ٱلۡأَرۡضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنۡ أَطۡرَافِهَآۚ أَفَهُمُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبُونَ
But, [on the contrary], We have provided good things for these [disbelievers] and their fathers until life was prolonged for them. Then do they not see that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders?886 Is it they who will overcome?

Al-Mukhtasar
Instead, We have allowed these disbelievers and their forefathers to enjoy all Our favors with which We favored them. As time passes, they become deceived by these favors and remain firm in their disbelief, gradually leading themselves to destruction. Do these people, deceived by Our favors and hastily seeking Our torment, not see that We are reducing the land down from its borders by Our subdual of its inhabitants and conquering them? Do they not take lessons from that, lest the same not happen to them? These people will not be victorious; instead, they will be defeated.
