يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ حَرِّضِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ عَلَى ٱلۡقِتَالِۚ إِن يَكُن مِّنكُمۡ عِشۡرُونَ صَٰبِرُونَ يَغۡلِبُواْ مِاْئَتَيۡنِۚ وَإِن يَكُن مِّنكُم مِّاْئَةٞ يَغۡلِبُوٓاْ أَلۡفٗا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِأَنَّهُمۡ قَوۡمٞ لَّا يَفۡقَهُونَ
O Prophet, urge the believers to battle. If there are among you twenty [who are] steadfast, they will overcome two hundred. And if there are among you one hundred [who are steadfast], they will overcome a thousand of those who have disbelieved because they are a people who do not understand.

Al-Mukhtasar
O Prophet, urge the believers to fight and encourage them to do so in a way that strengthens their determination and lifts their spirits. If there are twenty of you, O believers, who are patient in fighting the disbelievers, they will overcome two hundred of the disbelievers. Likewise, if there are one hundred who are patient among you, they will overcome one thousand of the disbelievers. That is because the disbelievers are a people who do not understand Allah's Sunnah (the way of Allah) by giving victory to His allies and defeating His enemies. They also do not realize the purpose of fighting, for they are fighting for superiority in this world.
