Surah Al-Anfal 8:75 الأنفال

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنۢ بَعۡدُ وَهَاجَرُواْ وَجَٰهَدُواْ مَعَكُمۡ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ مِنكُمۡۚ وَأُوْلُواْ ٱلۡأَرۡحَامِ بَعۡضُهُمۡ أَوۡلَىٰ بِبَعۡضٖ فِي كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَلِيمُۢ
And those who believed after [the initial emigration] and emigrated and fought with you - they are of you. But those of [blood] relationship are more entitled [to inheritance] in the decree of Allāh.459 Indeed, Allāh is Knowing of all things.

Al-Mukhtasar
And those who believed in Allah after the faith of those who preceded Islam from among Al-Muhajireen (the Emigrants) and Al-Ansar (the Supporters), who emigrated from the land of disbelief to the land of Islam and strived in Allah's path so that Allah's Word may be the highest and the word of the disbelievers may be the lowest – they are part of you, O believers. They will have the same rights and obligations as you have. Under Allah's final sacred inheritance laws, family members are closer to one another than in the previous Islamic inheritance system based on faith and emigration. Allah knows everything. Nothing is hidden from Him, for He knows what is best for His slaves, so He legislates it for them.
