وَلَمَّآ أَن جَآءَتۡ رُسُلُنَا لُوطٗا سِيٓءَ بِهِمۡ وَضَاقَ بِهِمۡ ذَرۡعٗاۖ وَقَالُواْ لَا تَخَفۡ وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ إِنَّا مُنَجُّوكَ وَأَهۡلَكَ إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَكَ كَانَتۡ مِنَ ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ
And when Our messengers [i.e., angels] came to Lot, he was distressed for them and felt for them great discomfort.1132 They said, "Fear not, nor grieve. Indeed, we will save you and your family, except your wife; she is to be of those who remain behind.

Al-Mukhtasar
When the angels that we sent to destroy the people of Lot's town came to Lot, he was troubled and upset by them coming. He feared the wickedness of his people because the angels came in the form of men, and his people lusted after men instead of women. The angels told him: Do not be afraid; your people will not harm you, and do not be sad about the destruction we informed you about. We will save you and your family from destruction, except your wife, who stayed with them. So, we will destroy her with them.
