He said, "Is it other than Allāh I should desire for you as a god399 while He has preferred you over the worlds?"

Al-Mukhtasar
Moses said to his people: O my people, how can I seek a god for you to worship other than Allah when you have witnessed what you have from His great signs, and He, may He be Exalted and Transcendent, has favored you upon the [the inhabitants] of the worlds of your time with what he bestowed upon you from the destruction of your enemy, your inheritance [of control] in the land, and your established governance in it?
