۞ هُوَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفۡسٖ وَٰحِدَةٖ وَجَعَلَ مِنۡهَا زَوۡجَهَا لِيَسۡكُنَ إِلَيۡهَاۖ فَلَمَّا تَغَشَّىٰهَا حَمَلَتۡ حَمۡلًا خَفِيفٗا فَمَرَّتۡ بِهِۦۖ فَلَمَّآ أَثۡقَلَت دَّعَوَا ٱللَّهَ رَبَّهُمَا لَئِنۡ ءَاتَيۡتَنَا صَٰلِحٗا لَّنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
It is He who created you from one soul and created from it its mate that he430 might dwell in security with her. And when he [i.e., man] covers her,431 she carries a light burden [i.e., a pregnancy] and continues therein. And when it becomes heavy, they both invoke Allāh, their Lord, "If You should give us a good432 [child], we will surely be among the grateful."

Al-Mukhtasar
It is He who brought you into being, O men and women, from one soul, Adam (peace be upon him), and created from Adam (peace be upon him) his wife, Eve. He made her from his rib so he would find comfort and tranquility in her. When a husband had relations with his wife, she became pregnant with a light load, not noticing it because it was at the beginning of the pregnancy. She continued with this pregnancy of hers, going about her needs without heftiness. Then, when she became heavy with it upon having grown in her belly, both spouses called upon their Lord, saying: O our Lord, if You grant us a healthy child, we will surely be among the thankful for Your blessings.
