وَقَالُواْ لَن يَدۡخُلَ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَن كَانَ هُودًا أَوۡ نَصَٰرَىٰۗ تِلۡكَ أَمَانِيُّهُمۡۗ قُلۡ هَاتُواْ بُرۡهَٰنَكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ
And they say, "None will enter Paradise except one who is a Jew or a Christian." That is [merely] their wishful thinking. Say, "Produce your proof, if you should be truthful."

Al-Mukhtasar
The Jews and the Christians each said: Paradise would be for them exclusively. The Jews said: Only a Jew will enter Paradise, and the Christians said: Only a Christian will enter Paradise. These are just their vain desires and imaginings. Tell them, O Prophet, in reply: Bring proof of what you claim if you are truthful.
