لَآ إِكۡرَاهَ فِي ٱلدِّينِۖ قَد تَّبَيَّنَ ٱلرُّشۡدُ مِنَ ٱلۡغَيِّۚ فَمَن يَكۡفُرۡ بِٱلطَّٰغُوتِ وَيُؤۡمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدِ ٱسۡتَمۡسَكَ بِٱلۡعُرۡوَةِ ٱلۡوُثۡقَىٰ لَا ٱنفِصَامَ لَهَاۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become distinct from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in ṭāghūt104 and believes in Allāh has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allāh is Hearing and Knowing.

Al-Mukhtasar
No one is forced to enter the religion of Islam; it is a clear, true religion, and as such, there is no need to compel anyone to believe in it. Guidance stands clear from misguidance. Whoever rejects all that is worshipped besides Allah, freeing oneself from them, and believes in Allah alone has held on to the religion's strongest, unbreakable means for salvation on the Day of Resurrection. Allah is All-Hearing of the words of His slaves, All-Knowing of their deeds, and He will recompense them accordingly.
