۞ قَوۡلٞ مَّعۡرُوفٞ وَمَغۡفِرَةٌ خَيۡرٞ مِّن صَدَقَةٖ يَتۡبَعُهَآ أَذٗىۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَنِيٌّ حَلِيمٞ
Kind speech and forgiveness are better than charity followed by injury. And Allāh is Free of need and Forbearing.

Al-Mukhtasar
A kind word that makes a believer happy or forgiving the ill-mannered one is better than charity, followed by the harm caused by reminding the person of the favor. Allah does not need His slaves; He is clement as He has not hasten to punish them.
