يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تُبۡطِلُواْ صَدَقَٰتِكُم بِٱلۡمَنِّ وَٱلۡأَذَىٰ كَٱلَّذِي يُنفِقُ مَالَهُۥ رِئَآءَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَا يُؤۡمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأٓخِرِۖ فَمَثَلُهُۥ كَمَثَلِ صَفۡوَانٍ عَلَيۡهِ تُرَابٞ فَأَصَابَهُۥ وَابِلٞ فَتَرَكَهُۥ صَلۡدٗاۖ لَّا يَقۡدِرُونَ عَلَىٰ شَيۡءٖ مِّمَّا كَسَبُواْۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
O you who have believed, do not invalidate your charities with reminders [of it] or injury as does one who spends his wealth [only] to be seen by the people and does not believe in Allāh and the Last Day. His example is like that of a [large] smooth stone upon which is dust and is hit by a downpour that leaves it bare. They are unable [to keep] anything of what they have earned. And Allāh does not guide the disbelieving people.

Al-Mukhtasar
O you who believe in Allah and follow His Messenger, do not spoil the reward of your charity by boasting about it and harming the person to whom you gave it. A person who does this is like one who spends to be seen and praised by people and disbelieves in Allah and the reward and punishment of the Day of Resurrection. This is like a smooth stone on which there is some soil: when heavy rain falls onto it, the soil is washed away, and the stone is left smooth with nothing on it. Similarly, the reward of the deeds and charity of those who show off does not remain in the sight of Allah. Allah does not guide disbelievers to what pleases Him and what will benefit them regarding their deeds and charity.
