وَقَالُواْ لَن تَمَسَّنَا ٱلنَّارُ إِلَّآ أَيَّامٗا مَّعۡدُودَةٗۚ قُلۡ أَتَّخَذۡتُمۡ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ عَهۡدٗا فَلَن يُخۡلِفَ ٱللَّهُ عَهۡدَهُۥٓۖ أَمۡ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ
And they say, "Never will the Fire touch us, except for [a few] numbered days." Say, "Have you taken a covenant with Allāh? For Allāh will never break His covenant. Or do you say about Allāh that which you do not know?"

Al-Mukhtasar
And they falsely and delusionally said: The Fire will not touch us, and we won't be in it except for a few days [even if it did]. Tell them, O Prophet: Did you have a definite promise from Allah that this will be the case? If so, then Allah never breaks his covenant. Or are you telling lies and falsehoods about Allah, speaking about that which you do not know?
