You [believers] are more fearful within their breasts than Allāh. That is because they are a people who do not understand.

Al-Mukhtasar
You, O believers, are certainly more frightening in the hearts of the hypocrites and Jews than Allah. That is due to the intensity of their fear of you and the weakness of their fear of Allah, because they are people who do not comprehend or understand. If they had comprehended, they would have known that Allah is more deserving to be feared and terrified of, for He is the One who gave you reign over them.
