Surah Al-Isra 17:29 الإسراء

وَلَا تَجۡعَلۡ يَدَكَ مَغۡلُولَةً إِلَىٰ عُنُقِكَ وَلَا تَبۡسُطۡهَا كُلَّ ٱلۡبَسۡطِ فَتَقۡعُدَ مَلُومٗا مَّحۡسُورًا

And do not make your hand [as] chained to your neck⁷³⁹ or extend it completely⁷⁴⁰ and [thereby] become blamed and insolvent.

Al-Mukhtasar

Do not withhold your hand from spending, and do not be wasteful when spending; if you do, you will be blameworthy amongst the people for your miserliness, or you will become unable to spend due to your extravagant expenditure.
