Why do the rabbis and religious scholars not forbid them from saying what is sinful and devouring what is unlawful? How wretched is what they have been practicing.

Why do their leaders and scholars not prevent them from rushing towards lying, bearing false testimony, and wrongfully consuming people's wealth? How evil it is that they do not prohibit them from doing bad deeds!
