يَوۡمَ تَبۡيَضُّ وُجُوهٞ وَتَسۡوَدُّ وُجُوهٞۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسۡوَدَّتۡ وُجُوهُهُمۡ أَكَفَرۡتُم بَعۡدَ إِيمَٰنِكُمۡ فَذُوقُواْ ٱلۡعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ
On the Day [some] faces will turn white and [some] faces will turn black. As for those whose faces turn black, [to them it will be said], "Did you disbelieve [i.e., reject faith] after your belief? Then taste the punishment for what you used to reject."

Al-Mukhtasar
This torment will befall them on the Day of Resurrection when the faces of the Faithful will be illuminated out of joy and happiness. And the faces of disbelievers will be darkened from sadness and grief. As for those whose faces will be darkened during that grievous day, it will be said to them reproachingly: "Did you deny Allah's Oneness and the covenant He accepted on the basis that you do not associate any partners with Him- after your attestation and confirmation of it?! So, taste the torment of Allah, which He promised you because of your disbelief."
