ٱلَّذِينَ قَالَ لَهُمُ ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ قَدۡ جَمَعُواْ لَكُمۡ فَٱخۡشَوۡهُمۡ فَزَادَهُمۡ إِيمَٰنٗا وَقَالُواْ حَسۡبُنَا ٱللَّهُ وَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡوَكِيلُ
Those to whom people [i.e., hypocrites] said, "Indeed, the people have gathered against you, so fear them." But it [merely] increased them in faith, and they said, "Sufficient for us is Allāh, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs."150

Al-Mukhtasar
Some of the polytheists said to them: "The Quraysh, led by Abu Sufyan, had gathered large numbers together to fight and eradicate you. So, beware of them and fear encountering them." These words and the intimidation increased their faith in Allah and the trustworthiness of His promise. So, they marched forth to meet them, saying: "Allah, the Exalted, is sufficient for us, and what an excellent one for us to entrust our affairs.
