وَلَا يَحۡسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَبۡخَلُونَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ هُوَ خَيۡرٗا لَّهُمۖ بَلۡ هُوَ شَرّٞ لَّهُمۡۖ سَيُطَوَّقُونَ مَا بَخِلُواْ بِهِۦ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۗ وَلِلَّهِ مِيرَٰثُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرٞ
And let not those who [greedily] withhold what Allāh has given them of His bounty ever think that it is better for them. Rather, it is worse for them. Their necks will be encircled by what they withheld on the Day of Resurrection. And to Allāh belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. And Allāh, of what you do, is [fully] Aware.

Al-Mukhtasar
Some are miserly with the comforts Allah has bestowed upon them as a favor from Him, and thus, they withhold the rights of Allah therein. They should not presume that it is a good intended for them. Rather, it is an evil intended for them because that in which they are miserly will become a collar wrapped around their necks, tormenting them on the Day of Resurrection. All that is in the heavens and earth must return to Allah alone. He is the Ever-Living after all His creation has perished. Allah knows the tiniest details of everything you do and will recompense you accordingly.
