ثُمَّ أَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَ أَنِ ٱتَّبِعۡ مِلَّةَ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ حَنِيفٗاۖ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
Then We revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], to follow the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth; and he was not of those who associate with Allāh.

Al-Mukhtasar
Then, We revealed to you, O Messenger: Follow the religion of Abraham in terms of monotheism, disassociation from the polytheists, inviting towards Allah, and practicing Allah's sacred law. He turned away from all other religions to the religion of Islam. He was never a polytheist, as the polytheists claim, but he was a man of pure monotheism.
