And Solomon inherited David. He said, "O people, we have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given from all things. Indeed, this is evident bounty."

Al-Mukhtasar
And Solomon inherited prophethood, knowledge, and dominion from his father. Citing Allah's favor upon him and his father, he said: O people, Allah has taught us the language of birds and given us everything He gave prophets and kings. What He has given us is indeed a clear and apparent favor.
