Surah An-Nisa 4:135 النساء

۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ كُونُواْ قَوَّٰمِينَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ شُهَدَآءَ لِلَّهِ وَلَوۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمۡ أَوِ ٱلۡوَٰلِدَيۡنِ وَٱلۡأَقۡرَبِينَۚ إِن يَكُنۡ غَنِيًّا أَوۡ فَقِيرٗا فَٱللَّهُ أَوۡلَىٰ بِهِمَاۖ فَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ ٱلۡهَوَىٰٓ أَن تَعۡدِلُواْۚ وَإِن تَلۡوُۥٓاْ أَوۡ تُعۡرِضُواْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرٗا
O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allāh, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allāh is more worthy of both.223 So follow not [personal] inclination, lest you not be just. And if you distort [your testimony] or refuse [to give it], then indeed Allāh is ever, of what you do, Aware.

- 223 i.e., more knowledgeable of their best interests. Therefore, adhere to what He has enjoined upon you and testify honestly.

Al-Mukhtasar
O you who believe in Allah and follow His Messenger, stand up for justice in all circumstances: testify to the truth concerning every person, even if that requires the truth to be proven against yourself, your parents, or close relatives. Do not be motivated to give or withhold testimony due to anyone's poverty or wealth. Allah knows best what is in the interest of the poor and wealthy among you. Do not follow your whims in testimony, lest you deviate from the truth. If you falsify testimony by giving it inaccurately or refuse to provide it, then Allah is All-Aware of what you are doing.
