وَإِذَا حَضَرَ ٱلۡقِسۡمَةَ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ وَٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلۡمَسَٰكِينُ فَٱرۡزُقُوهُم مِّنۡهُ وَقُولُواْ لَهُمۡ قَوۡلٗا مَّعۡرُوفٗا
And when [other] relatives and orphans and the needy are present at the [time of] division, then provide for them [something] out of it [i.e., the estate] and speak to them words of appropriate kindness.

Al-Mukhtasar
If relatives, orphans, and the poor, who do not inherit, are present at the time the inheritance is divided, then give them, on the basis it is a recommendation, some of the wealth before it is divided. Give whatever your souls find agreeable since they may be hoping for a share, and it came to you without any hardship. Also, kindly speak to them without any meanness.
