قُلۡ أَطِيعُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُواْ ٱلرَّسُولَۖ فَإِن تَوَلَّوۡاْ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيۡهِ مَا حُمِّلَ وَعَلَيۡكُم مَّا حُمِّلۡتُمۡۖ وَإِن تُطِيعُوهُ تَهۡتَدُواْۚ وَمَا عَلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ إِلَّا ٱلۡبَلَٰغُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ
Say, "Obey Allāh and obey the Messenger; but if you turn away - then upon him is only that [duty] with which he has been charged, and upon you is that with which you have been charged. And if you obey him, you will be [rightly] guided. And there is not upon the Messenger except the [responsibility for] clear notification."

Al-Mukhtasar
Say, O Messenger, to those hypocrites, obey Allah and His Messenger both outwardly and inwardly. If you turn away from obeying Allah and His Messenger, then the Messenger has fulfilled what he was tasked with, and upon you is what you have been tasked with of obedience and acting on what he came with. If you obey him in what he has commanded you and avoid what he has prohibited, you will be guided to the truth. Only clear conveyance is upon the Messenger; he cannot carry you to guidance or force it upon you.
