ثُمَّ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ وَعَلَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَأَنزَلَ جُنُودٗا لَّمۡ تَرَوۡهَا وَعَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
Then Allāh sent down His tranquility upon His Messenger and upon the believers and sent down soldiers [i.e., angels] whom you did not see and punished those who disbelieved. And that is the recompense of the disbelievers.

Al-Mukhtasar
Then, after you [believers] fled from your enemy, Allah sent down tranquility upon His Messenger and sent it down to the believers, so they stood firm to fight. Moreover, He sent down angels that you did not see and punished those who disbelieved [for what happened to them] in terms of killing, captivity, taking money, and capturing offspring. Likewise, the compensation these people were rewarded is the recompense of the disbelievers who rejected their Messenger and denied what he came with.
