وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّبِعُواْ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ قَالُواْ بَلۡ نَتَّبِعُ مَا وَجَدۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ ءَابَآءَنَآۚ أَوَلَوۡ كَانَ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ يَدۡعُوهُمۡ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ
And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allāh has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that upon which we found our fathers." Even if Satan was inviting them to the punishment of the Blaze?

Al-Mukhtasar
When it is said to these people who dispute the Oneness of Allah: Follow the revelation Allah has revealed to His Messenger. They say: We will not follow it; instead, we will follow what we found our forefathers doing and worship our gods. Will they follow their forefathers even though the Devil calls them towards the punishment of a blazing fire on the Day of Resurrection by misguiding them to the worship of idols?
