Indeed, those who reverted back [to disbelief] after guidance had become clear to them - Satan enticed them and prolonged hope for them.

Al-Mukhtasar
Those who turn back from their belief towards disbelief and hypocrisy after the proof has been established against them and the truth of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم has become clear to them; the Devil is the one who has beautified their disbelief and hypocrisy and has raised their vain hopes.
