إِن يَسۡـَٔلۡكُمُوهَا فَيُحۡفِكُمۡ تَبۡخَلُواْ وَيُخۡرِجۡ أَضۡغَٰنَكُمۡ

Al-Mukhtasar
If He had to ask you for all of your wealth and insist on this request from you, you would become miserly with it, and He would bring out the hatred to spend in the way of Allah from your hearts. Thus, He is not asking it from you out of kindness.
