وَقَالَ ٱلۡمَلِكُ ٱئۡتُونِي بِهِۦۖ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُ ٱلرَّسُولُ قَالَ ٱرۡجِعۡ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَسۡـَٔلۡهُ مَا بَالُ ٱلنِّسۡوَةِ ٱلَّٰتِي قَطَّعۡنَ أَيۡدِيَهُنَّۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي بِكَيۡدِهِنَّ عَلِيمٞ
And the king said, "Bring him to me." But when the messenger came to him, [Joseph] said, "Return to your master and ask him what is the case of the women who cut their hands. Indeed, my Lord is Knowing of their plan."

Al-Mukhtasar
When Joseph's explanation of his dream reached him, the king told his slaves: Release Joseph from prison and bring him to me. When the king's messenger came to Joseph, he told him to go back to his master, the king, and ask him about the story of the women who cut their hands so that his innocence would be made clear before he left the prison. Joseph said: My Lord knows how they tried to seduce me, as nothing is hidden from Him.
