قُلۡ مَا كُنتُ بِدۡعٗا مِّنَ ٱلرُّسُلِ وَمَآ أَدۡرِي مَا يُفۡعَلُ بِي وَلَا بِكُمۡۖ إِنۡ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞ
Say, "I am not something new among the messengers,1479 nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner."

- 1479 i.e., I am neither the first messenger to be sent, nor do I bring something different from the other messengers.

Al-Mukhtasar
O Messenger, tell these polytheists who reject your prophethood: I am not the first Messenger Allah has sent for you to find my call strange, as many messengers came before me. I do not know what Allah will do with me nor what He will do with you in this life. I only follow what Allah reveals to me, so I do not say or do except according to what He reveals. And I am only a warner who clearly warns of His punishment.
