وَلَا تَسُبُّواْ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَيَسُبُّواْ ٱللَّهَ عَدۡوَۢا بِغَيۡرِ عِلۡمٖۗ كَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَّا لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمۡ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِم مَّرۡجِعُهُمۡ فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ
And do not insult those they invoke other than Allāh, lest they insult Allāh in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do.

Al-Mukhtasar
O believers, do not insult the idols they worship alongside Allah, even though they are insignificant and deserving of that, for then the polytheists would have the audacity to insult Allah out of ignorance of what befits Him (may He be Exalted). Just as He made their misguidance attractive to them, He made every nation's behavior, be it good or bad, seem attractive to them, so they act accordingly. Then their return on the Day of Resurrection is to their Lord, Who will inform them about what they used to do in the world, and He will recompense them accordingly.
