Surah Al-An'am 6:60 الأنعام

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي يَتَوَفَّىٰكُم بِٱلَّيۡلِ وَيَعۡلَمُ مَا جَرَحۡتُم بِٱلنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ يَبۡعَثُكُمۡ فِيهِ لِيُقۡضَىٰٓ أَجَلٞ مُّسَمّٗىۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيۡهِ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ
And it is He who takes your souls by night312 and knows what you have committed by day. Then He revives you therein [i.e., by day] that a specified term313 may be fulfilled. Then to Him will be your return; then He will inform you about what you used to do.

Al-Mukhtasar
Allah is the One who temporarily takes away your souls at night as you sleep, and He is the One who knows the deeds you do during the day when you are active. He then restores you to life in the day after taking away your souls through sleep so that you may carry out your tasks. This will continue until the decreed period of your lives ends, as known to Allah. Then you will return to Him alone when He resurrects you on the Day of Resurrection. He will then inform you about what you used to do in the worldly life and recompense you accordingly.
